Accessibility Features
Keyboard Shortcuts
The main navigation links have access keys assigned for keyboard shortcuts. They are detailed below with guidelines for each browser:
Re-sizing Text:
You can zoom the text on the work equality website using the three "A" icons at the top right of every page. You can also use your browser zoom tool as outlined below.
Internet Explorer 6
CTRL + Mouse wheel (or Tools > Internet Options > View > Text Size)
Internet Explorer 7
Page > Text Size > choose size
Mozilla/Firefox 2/Netscape
CTRL +/- (or Tools > Options > View > Text Size)
Mozilla/Firefox 3
Go to View > Zoom and click "Zoom Text Only" (Now you can use CTRL +/-)
Using screen readers
Visitors can navigate using the following keystrokes:
- H to cycle forwards through the headings
- Shift + H to cycle backwards through the headings
- 1 to navigate to the next level 1 heading (or a number between 1 and 6 to navigate to the next heading on this level)
- Shift + 1 to navigate to the previous level 1 heading (or a number between 1 and 6 to navigate to the previous heading on this level)
- INSERT + F6 to provide a list of all headings
Using Opera
The following keys can be used to navigate headings:
- S to cycle forwards through the headings
- W to cycle backwards through the headings
